Ingredients (makes around 12 cups):

 Filling:

  •    1 can of cream
  • You can also add nuts, or rose water

 Optional topping:

  •    Crushed pistachios
  •    Shredded coconut
  •    Light sugar syrup

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a muffin or cupcake tray, or line with paper cups.
  2. Prepare the batter by mixing the basbousa mix with yogurt, cream, and melted butter in a bowl. Stir until smooth and thick.
  3. Spoon a layer (about 1 tbsp) of the mixture into the bottom of each cup.
  4. Add cream filling in the center (about 1 tsp per cup).
  5. Top off each cup with another spoonful of the mixture to cover the filling.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  7. Optional: Drizzle with a little syrup and sprinkle crushed pistachios or coconut before serving.
