Ingredients (makes around 12 cups):
- 1 pack of Treat Me Gluten Free Basbousa Mix
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cream can
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Filling:
- 1 can of cream
- You can also add nuts, or rose water
Optional topping:
- Crushed pistachios
- Shredded coconut
- Light sugar syrup
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a muffin or cupcake tray, or line with paper cups.
- Prepare the batter by mixing the basbousa mix with yogurt, cream, and melted butter in a bowl. Stir until smooth and thick.
- Spoon a layer (about 1 tbsp) of the mixture into the bottom of each cup.
- Add cream filling in the center (about 1 tsp per cup).
- Top off each cup with another spoonful of the mixture to cover the filling.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Optional: Drizzle with a little syrup and sprinkle crushed pistachios or coconut before serving.
